May is National Stroke Awareness Month so our focus is on helping people learn more about the life-threatening condition. It can strike at any time – in fact, every 40 seconds someone in the United States has a stroke.
Naperville resident Toni Tompkins and Dr. Peter Schubel from Edward Hospital appeared on a recent episode of Windy City Live on ABC7 to share Toni’s story and help others learn how to identify stroke signs and symptoms so they can seek treatment faster – and have a better outcome.
